Despite all the national weather reports/warnings of torrential rain and high wind’s. We all arrived at Mid-Sussex Golf Club with our invited gentlemen. A welcomed Coffee and a Danish pastry awaited us on arrival and then it was time to tee off. Still no rain!!! Have the forecasters got it wrong!!! Sadly not and my goodness did it rain and the wind blew as they said it would. Not to be deterred, we all soldiered on and completed sixteen holes, with the clubhouse in sight we decided to cut short the golf and have an early dinner followed by the prize giving. The winner of the day was Sue Mead from Highwoods golf club and her husband,Peter, with 36 stableford points which was an excellent score bearing in mind the atrocious weather conditions. A huge thank you to Mid-Sussex Golf Club they really looked after us and made us all very welcome.
