Our home match against Kent took place at West Hove golf club. The course looked good and due to the rather wet summer, the fairways were lush and green which helped to keep the balls in play. Fortunately, the course conditions seemed to work in our favour, with many matches going to the eighteenth green and ending in our favour. Sussex won the day 5 1/2 to 2 1/2. Not wanting to crow too much, we were overjoyed with the result being victorious in both the away and home matches.
Following the golf we all enjoyed a wonderful meal with a most splendid dessert table and the banter between the ladies was infectious.
